BHP are delighted to have been shortlisted for two prestigious British Accountancy Awards.

Yorkshire and North Derbyshire’s leading accountancy firm has been shortlisted for both the Audit team of the Year and Tax Team of the Year.

The awards held in London celebrate excellence in Accounting and Finance welcoming over 900 guests to the event from across the country.

Lisa Leighton, Joint Managing Partner and Head of Audit said: “We are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for both these awards.”

“In the world of big data and greater connectivity, and with various high-profile cases of audit failings making headlines, audit as we knew it is changing and changing quickly. The firm has had to adapt and change significantly. Our use of Data Analytics has been one of the most fundamental changes driving the firm forward”

Hamish Morrison, Joint Managing Partner said: “The relationships with our clients are key to consistently delivering a service beyond business as usual. As a full service firm, we work with clients to understand fully their goals and ambitions.”

“These nominations show we can offer forward-thinking and innovative solutions to client needs so we can support their growth plans.”

The awards will be held in London in September.

BHP has more than 300 staff, including 31 partners. Over the last 10 years the business has increased turnover from £8m to over £22m.

BHP remains in the top 35 accountancy firms in the UK and was also recently recognised with the Community Award at the Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards. The firm has five offices in Sheffield, Cleckheaton, Leeds, Chesterfield, and York.
